Will there ever be more of (fill in the blank with a specific series)?
For The Dream War Saga, the series has been canceled and likely won’t ever be completed. I know that book ended on quite the cliffhanger, and I’m so sorry! It’s not how I planned it.
As of this moment (approximately midway through 2025), I don’t anticipate completing the Pax Archives series either. I do have ideas for it, but it’s an incredibly complex story, and it would take quite a lot of work without the help of an editor to get the rest of that story told.
The books most likely to eventually appear in the wild are actually the remaining books of the Laguna Tides novels. Lani and I have most of book 3 completed, and it just needs a little more polishing before we can share it with the world. I don’t know if or when we will have the time to do that, so I don’t want to make promises I won’t be able to keep, but it’s definitely a possibility for the future!
Can you come speak at my school/conference/event?
Absolutely! I’m available for various events and appearances, and I love providing workshops to aspiring authors. Please contact me for more information including pricing or donation options.
Can I read your series out of order?
For The Ryogan Chronicles and the Assassins duology, I honestly don’t recommend it! Although you should be able to follow the story no matter what book you pick up first, there will be major plot points that will be spoiled if you read them out of order.
It’s less important with the Laguna Tides books and The Dream War Saga! Although the same potential for spoilers applies, the things you’ll learn will be more minor and shouldn’t ruin your appreciation for the earlier book.
Which of your stories have LGBTQ+ representation?
Many of them! The Ryogan Chronicles series is full of representation across the gender and sexuality spectrums, and so are both books of the Assassins duology. Pax Novis, if you can find a copy, is also full of representation, and Deadly Sweet Lies has a lesbian narrator. Only the Laguna novels and Sing Sweet Nightingale don’t have the same level of representation.
